Background
Location: Athabasca, Alberta,Canada (about 150 km / 90 miles north of Edmonton).
Belief: That AU Library enhances academic success by providing library services and resources to its users.
Dedication:
To maintaining excellent service in providing information and resource materials to support the information needs of the Library user groups.
Collection: The collection is made up of over 150,000 books and audio-visual items, more than 200,000 e-books and online access to approximately 65,000 journals. The collection has been developed primarily for two purposes:
- to support courses and programming
- to support research in distance education
AU Library houses The Reverand Edward Checkland Collection, one of the finest collections of materials on the subject of distance education.
