Requests for Assistance
Students, faculty and staff may also request assistance with a variety of tasks by contacting the Library Information Desk by phone online or fax. You can expect that your request will be acknowledged within 24 hours or on the next business day. The Library is open from 8:30-4:30 MT, Monday - Friday.
Please include your full name, student ID number and course name and number (if applicable), daytime phone number, email address and/or fax number when contacting the Library for assistance and be as specific as you can when making your request.
Reference librarians are available to provide assistance with research and instruction in the use of the Library's online resources. Reference librarians will assist students with the articulation of search strategies, identifying resources to use for assignments, and can provide citing and referencing help. Reference Librarians will provide specialized assistance to faculty and tutors in a number of areas, including:
- Assistance in accessing and locating research materials and scholarly resources
- Support in identifying AU Library and other information resources for inclusion in courses and course reserves
- Collaboration in developing resources such as tutorials and library assignments to help build the information seeking, research and critical thinking skills of AU students.
