Databases

Please note:

AU Library subscribes to a substantial number of databases which can be used to help you find journal articles, primary source materials, dissertations and theses, images, audido and video. Many of these databases allow you to find full text materials, while others will simply provide citations and abstracts.

Using the navigation at the top of this page you can list databases alphabetically by title, grouped by subject, or use the AU Journal Title List to find out if a specific journal is available in full text from AU Library.

If you need help using the AU Journal Title List, view the tutorial. This tutorial requires Flash. The tutorial can be paused, advanced or restarted using the player at the bottom of the screen.

If you are unable to find a particular journal title or journal article online, or if you encounter difficulties searching or accessing databases, contact the Library Information Desk.

If you need help with security certificate errors in either Firefox or IE, please view this page.

Access to some of the databases available to AU faculty, staff and students has been provided through the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library (LHCADL). Athabasca University Library thanks the Government of Alberta for its generosity in funding the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library (LHCADL). This content enriches the learning environment for all Albertans, including the faculty and students of Athabasca University. For more information on LHCADL, click here.
