AU Library's online services remain open, but we are currently closed to in-person visits. For more information, please email us at email@example.com.

Temporary Service Changes
Contacting AU Library
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of our staff are working from home. This means that we cannot contact patrons by phone. We instead encourage patrons to contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
TAL and COPPUL Cards
NOTE: TAL and COPPUL cards are NOT REQUIRED for access to AU Library services and resources if you are an AU student, faculty, or staff member. If you are an AU student, faculty, or staff member, this service change will not affect your ability to access our resources.
As of Monday, April 20, AU Library will suspend issuance of both The Alberta Library (TAL) and Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) cards until further notice. Both TAL and COPPUL cards require onsite visits for library materials and database access. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtually all libraries in the Province of Alberta and across Canada are closed to in-person visits, making these cards of limited use.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic passes, or social distancing requirements are eased to allow libraries across Canada to re-open, we will begin issuing TAL and COPPUL cards once again. We will post notifications on the AU Library homepage and on the MyAU student portal letting our patrons know. You will then be welcome to resubmit your TAL and / or COPPUL card request.
If you have any questions or concerns, or if you need assistance finding and accessing library materials, please get in touch with us via email (email@example.com) or chat (library.athabascau.ca).
AU Library COVID-19 ResourcesPandemic Support Guide: This guide has been prepared by AU Library during the COVID-19 Crisis. We aim to add resources as we find them that will be beneficial to anyone coping with the state of emergency. Please contact the library if you have any suggestions or requests for this page.
Talk to a Librarian Drop-In Sessions: AU Library is hosting live drop-in sessions twice a week for the month of April to offer support and help our students, staff, and faculty with any library needs during this difficult time. Pop-in at any point during a session and ask questions or tag along for a discussion; these will be informal sessions with a brief discussion of a chosen topic at the beginning of each session.
